The main aim of WALKTALK is to offer people new opportunities to meet, walk and talk with each other about matters of belief and conscience, especially those that are most challenging and divisive, and to share all that we have in common.
The WALKTALK core team devised a number of events and activities for July and August 2008 to involve people joining us along the way, or from wherever they were based.

WALKTALK is inclusive and invites all people from all backgrounds to be involved. If you want to highlight your community and organise an official WALKTALK event, please get in touch with us here.
We will need to ask you to accept the following:
WALKTALK is entirely inclusive: it’s open to anyone to come and join the WALKTALK conversation and discuss their views.
However, to make that conversation positive and ‘safe’, we ask that all those who join us and any WALKTALK events to hold to the following principles:
(1) Respect – try and place yourself in the other person’s shoes – to see the world from their perspective
(2) Balance – try to listen as much you talk
(3) Humanity – you might find you have more in common with the person you talk and walk with than difference
(4) Responsibility – we can all make a positive difference to our community.
